I have always been fascinated by the way current trends evolve, causing fashion to change. It's not only what we wear, but also how we live, what we read, the foods we eat, the websites we visit, and the music we love. I spend a lot of time considering how what's "in fashion" in every way shape and form is influenced by the world around us.
The runways are unique because designers find inspiration in what's happening right now on the streets and also in the history of fashion and design. We look to fall, the new ideas have emerged and fashion has changed once again.
In these days more than ever, style values accessibility. The most exciting trends are those that adapt to the way we live and want to dress now.
A perfect example of how style changes everything presents itself this fall season with the return of the pantsuit. I can admit that when I first saw them on the runways, I was a bit hesitant. But as the collections continued, I became more and more intrigued about their proposition. It's a look that is very modern and new. Immediately, I sensed I was ready to trade my skirts and dresses for a modern "pantsuit".
The pantsuit is fashion that works. For polished and pretty, add a touch of lace and a layer of pearls. To keep it sleek and professional add any great boot (wedge or flat, or high heel) and the pantsuit will look even more current anytime, anywhere.
With the pantsuit leading the charge this fall, of course there will always be things that don't vary, I call them "things we'll always love" and they include animal prints, knits, lace and pearls.
Style is what works for you and how you make fashion your very own. It's style that changes everything.
